οἷον γινόμεθα δίκαιοι πράττοντες δίκαια, σώφρονες πράττοντες σώφρονα, ἀνδρεῖοι πράττοντες ἀνδρεῖα. οὕτω δὲ καὶ ἄλλων ἀρετῶν ἐστὶν ἡ γένεσις.

 Thus we become just by doing just acts,
temperate by doing temperate acts,
brave by doing brave acts.

And so it is with the other virtues.
